Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the shipping cost?
How long does shipping take?
We process orders in 1-2 business days, and shipping takes 2-6 days depending on your location. Most orders are received within a week. All products ship from Utah.
What is the difference between a Sectional and Telescoping Flag pole?
The main difference between these two types of flagpoles is the Rope (Halyard) system. The Sectional has a rope system that you will clip the flags to and then use that to raise or lower the flags. This allows you to fly flags at half staff if desired. The Telescoping pole you would clip the flags to the pole itself and then raise the entire pole. The advantage to this system is that is it very user friendly and the flags are attached to no tangle clips.
Both types have their advantages, and that is why we offer both. We also offer a Halyard Conversion Kit that will add a rope to the Telescoping flagpole if you would like that option.
Both flagpoles are made from 11 gauge anodized aluminum and share the same high wind rating.
How many flags can fly on the poles?
The 20' Telescoping pole is designed to hold up to 2 3x5' Flags. The 25' Telescoping pole is designed to hold 2 4'x6' or 3'x5' flags or a combination of those sizes. The Sectional poles do not have limits on the number of flags you can fly or the size of flags but you will need to order additional flags clips with the sectional kits if you want to fly more than one flag. These can be purchased on the accessory page. We do recommend limiting your flag sizes to 2 4x6' flags unless you reinforce your flagpole. (Instructions below for this)
What is the wind rating on the Delta Flagpole?
The new Delta flagpole design has been tested at 100 mph with one 3x5 flag on the pole. We do recommend however during high wind events that you do lower the flags to reduce stress on the pole and wear on your flags.
What is the Diameter of the Flagpoles?
Our 20' Delta Sectional poles are 2" in diameter. The Delta Telescoping, 25' & 30' Sectional poles are both just shy of 3" in diameter. We know that many customers have an existing ground sleeve from a previous flagpole. For those that are looking to install a larger flagpole in an existing sleeve we offer a flagpole adapter. This will allow you for instance to use on of our 3" flagpoles and place it in a 2" previously installed ground sleeve. This adapter can be found on our accessory page.
Can a telescoping flagpole fly flags at half staff?
Yes, it can. However you will need to add our optional Halyard Conversion Kit or our Tether and Weight Kit to your pole to achieve the true half staff. You can find these products under the accessories tab. A video is also available on how to do this.
How long will it take to get my order?
Flagpoles generally ship within a few days of your order being placed and will deliver in 1-5 business days, depending on where you a located. We use FedEx, UPS or USPS for our flagpole and accessory shipments. If there will be any shipping or back order delays this will be noted on the product before checkout.
Does the kit come with an American Flag?
Each Flagpole kit comes with a 3'x5' outdoor rated USA Flag. Some customers prefer a larger 4'x6' flag that can be purchased and fits on all our flagpoles 25' and taller.
How to I Install the Flagpole?
Every kit comes with thorough installation instructions, however a complete installation video can be found at the top of this page.
How much concrete do I need and How big of Hole do I need to dig?
We recommend digging an 18" x 18" hole and you will need approximately 3 bags of 50 lbs concrete. This could be more or less depending on the exact size hole you dig. For areas with loose soil conditions we recommend a large hole with additional concrete to secure against high winds.
What height are the poles above ground after assembly and installation?
Pole kits may be slightly less than the advertised height following installation. For example, a 25' Sectional has 4 sections, each 78 inches in length, this brings total length of all sections to be 26'. However, after installation, your above ground height should be roughly 22.5 - 23.5 feet.
The discrepancy in height is accounted for through assembly of sections and in ground installation.
Do you offer Flagpole installation?
We don't offer installation. However, any landscaping company will be happy to install this and many Boy Scout troops or other volunteer organizations would be happy to help.
Do I need to ground my flagpole?
Flagpoles are automatically grounded, and lightning will simply travel down
If I order a light or other accessory, does it ship with my flagpole?
The Flagpole kits and our other accessories all ship separately. They will all ship close together in time and you should see them within a few days of each other.
How do I reinforce my flagpole?
The reinforcement option is for customers that want to fly a flag larger than 4x6'. The reinforcement option is also only available on the Sectional flagpoles. Instructions (click here)
How do I tie a flagpole clip?
You can find an easy video on how to do this here: Clips
How are these poles anodized?
We are dedicated to making the highest quality flagpoles, so for our anodization process we use Sulfuric Acid Anodization or Type II. This process gives you the greatest hardness plus the best corrosion and abrasion resistance possible. For our Black Color flagpoles, we anodize first and then coat with a electrolytic color, giving it a 10 year no fade guarantee.
